Baby Camel Silk Blend

A fiber match made in heaven: not only is this blend perfect for wearing on bare skin, it also balances temperatures wonderfully and can be worn year round.

Baby Camel down is very fine, light weight and warm, so we blended and "cooled down" the Baby Camel fiber with white Tussah Silk. This gives our blend a lustrous sheen and buttery soft coloring. Yumm!

Spin just like you would Cashmere or similar fine fiber - you will produce a yarn with a lovely drape, fine silky sheen and an exquisitely soft hand.

4 ounce (113g) combed top roving.

50% Baby Camel / 50% bleached Tussah Silk, 18.5 micron.

Staple length approximately 4 inches (100mm).
