Mulberry Silk
Mulberry silk is made by cultivated Bombyx Mori moths that eat only mulberry leaves—essentially a superfood for silkworms!
The result is a superior quality silk that lends beautiful drape to homespun yarns. The durable mulberry silk fibers have greater crease recovery than any other silk variety.
It is super soft, glossy and like all silks, cool to the touch. Mulberry silk balances temperatures wonderfully and can be spun on its own or blended with virtually any other fiber for garments that are meant to be worn on bare skin.
This naturally pure white fiber is un-bleached and takes dye very readily to produce sparkling, bright tones.
