Keeping the kids occupied all day during summer break can be exhausting. Doing crafts with kids is a great way to encourage their creativity and build confidence. Plus, it's always nice to have something to do indoors on those occasional rainy summer days. Our favorite entry project into wool crafting is our felted soap kit but the ideas don't stop there!
Make Felted Soap
Our felted soap kits make it easy to make beautiful, exfoliating soap bars. The best part is that kids will love washing their hands with it! You can keep the kids occupied for a while and encourage best hygiene practices at the same time. Each bar of felted soap is sure to turn out just as unique as they are!
Learn Needle Felting
For the older kid or responsible younger kid with supervision, we offer needle felting kits that include everything you need to get started. Once they get the basics of needle felting, you can let the kids loose with their imaginations! Make flat felt paintings or cute 3-dimentional characters for play.

Knit Together
Knitting teaches patience and focus. We recommend starting with bulky weight yarn so make learning easy and fun for kids.
Thicker yarn and a larger hook makes it easier to see your stitches. It also makes your creation knit up faster, which is a must when you are dealing with children who have short attention spans!
Weave a Wall Hanging
Combine unspun roving with yarn to create fabulous contrast in textures. We have many vibrant shades of both for you to choose from and these trendy wall decorations are easier to make than you might think.
This is a great craft for kids because small weaving looms are relatively inexpensive and easy to come by at your local craft store. Plus, children will love seeing their art hung up on the wall!
